What You May Need for a Wire Transfer

Before sending or receiving a wire transfer, members should be prepared to provide the following information:

  • Receiving financial institution
  • Routing information
  • Account number
  • Beneficiary (recipient) information

For incoming domestic wire transfers to SRFFCU, use routing number 226078379.

If you are sending an international wire transfer, you must also provide the name and routing number of the U.S.-based correspondent (intermediary) bank for the beneficiary’s financial institution. This information is required to route U.S. dollar international wire transfers correctly and helps ensure the funds are delivered without unnecessary delays.

Before initiating an international wire transfer, contact the beneficiary to obtain their financial institution’s complete wiring instructions, including the required U.S.-based correspondent (intermediary) bank name and routing number. If you have questions, please contact us at 215-725-4430 or 212-473-7310.

Wire Transfers are a good option if you need to send a big sum to someone else quickly. Some things to keep in mind are that funds may arrive at the other financial institution the same day or the next business day. Another thing is that you’ll need account and routing numbers from your bank and where you’re sending the funds. Keep in mind that Wire Transfers tend to be a higher fee depending if it is incoming, outgoing, or international.
